Dear Friend,

Welcome to

The purpose of this website is to connect you with the reality of who you really are.

What do I mean by that?

Simple. You are love. You have never been forgotten. You are needed in this lifetime and on this planet.

Through this website, I will share with you my own experiences, what I’ve learned from them, and what connects us all. I long to create communities wherever I go. It is my mission in life, and you are a part of that.

I am a world traveler, a numerologist, and a spiritual seeker.

I live and work in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I love walking, especially long-distance walks, because they are mesmerizing, therapeutic, and grounding. I’ve discovered walking as a therapy and a personal passion since 2013 when I was walking the famous pilgrimage, the Camino de Santiago in France, Spain, and Portugal.

Prior to this walk, I rarely traveled and had never traveled alone. What inspired me to embark on this journey was from watching Emilio Estevez’s movie “The Way” in 2011. The film’s beautiful cinematography and heartfelt plot stirred up my desire to walk the Camino. In that same year, while still grieving the loss of my mother in 2010, I went through a midlife awakening, walked away from a twenty-two-year marriage, and moved across the country to attend university in Vancouver, BC.

As a mature student, I took a one-year exchange program at Lausanne University, Switzerland from July 2013 – August 2014. I used my time off in between semesters to walk the French Camino and four short Caminos including the way to Finisterre, the Portuguese way from Tui, the Primitivo from Oviedo, and the English way from Ferrol.

The sense of achievement and completion after walking the Camino all those times changed my perspective on traveling solo and boosted my confidence to travel to many more countries and cities afterward. I enjoyed my experience on the Camino so much that I went on to walk the Camino’s sister pilgrimage, the Kumano Kodo in Japan in 2016 while I was completing my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program in Kyoto.

I lived in Portugal for over three years and returned to Canada in April 2023. I am working on multiple projects. Being self-employed is what excites me the most in terms of work.

I am aware that the pain and suffering I’ve experienced throughout my life can be transformed and used for something great. That’s where you enter the picture.

You are a treasure beyond measure. It would be an honor to be part of your journey through life. I want to help you see your own value. My passion is for you to be conscious of who you are. You are strength and forgiveness. You are kindness and happiness. You are wealth and generosity.

You are fully human and yet something more at the same time. You are spirit. You are love. You are creation itself.

I want to help you because I care. I’m able to see past my own pain and suffering. I know that I have always been loved, even when it hasn’t looked that way.

I’m learning one day at a time to look beyond the idea that I’m alone and no one cares.

Have I reached enlightenment?

Not necessarily. I’m on this same journey through life that you are. I’m a fellow pilgrim making her way through the demands of each day just like you.

If my sharing, if my contribution can help you in any way, then I’ve done what I can in some small part to help make this world a brighter place. That’s worth living for.

You are the purpose of this website. I’m here to create a community. One that enjoys long walks, world travel, and spirituality. One full of members that have each other’s backs and are there for each other. A loving, supportive family that bears one another’s burdens and helps make life something enjoyable. Together, we create something to look forward to each day.

I don’t know exactly how this website and the work through it will evolve. I simply know that I have something of excellent value to contribute and so do you.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, please leave them in the comments section below, and I will be happy to help out if I can.

All the best,

Helen Blessing
